Welcome 2011
Every year the world celebrates New Year. Each country has its own way of celebrating. Therefore, we wanted to make this year special for our school. I chose a project in the Iearn website which was Holiday cards Exchange project. This project was about sending Holiday cards to other schools around the world.
First, we made a work plan to make the cards. For two weeks we got together in the Resources Room and happily created beautiful cards that congratulate the world for the New Year and tell others about our beloved Oman.

Then, we collected all the cards and put them in envelopes in order to send them to the participated schools in the project. The schools that were participated in the project were from Taiwan, Vietnam, USA, Russia, Belarus, Philippines and Australia.
After that, I took all the envelopes and went directly to the Post Office and sent the cards. We were very happy to create the cards because we felt that the cards were letters of peace to the world.
After one month, we started to receive wonderful packages for other schools that were in our group.

After receiving all the packages around the world, we conducted a meeting to show the cards to the student and give them the holiday cards.

Finally, this project had enlightened us about the world and the world about OMAN, because our message to the world was and still “From Oman with Love”.
